Consumer Health Data Policy
Last updated: September 28, 2026
This policy is a supplement to our Privacy Policy. It explains how Vibe Cook, operated by Zack Katsiroubas as a sole proprietor in Ontario, Canada, handles "consumer health data" as defined by the health-data laws of Washington, Nevada and Connecticut. It applies to everyone who uses Vibe Cook, wherever they live.
What health data we collect
Vibe Cook doesn't ask for your health information, and you can use it without giving any. But some of what you can tell it might be health data:
- Allergies and intolerances you add to your "Never suggest" list (for example, "peanuts" because of an allergy).
- A medical or health-related diet you choose or type as your diet (for example, "gluten-free" because of celiac disease, or "low-sodium").
- Anything health-related you mention in a chat with Rosie (for example, "I'm diabetic, can you make this lower in sugar?").
We don't try to work out anything about your health from other information, and we don't collect precise location.
Where it comes from
Only from you, when you type or choose it in the app.
Why we collect it and how we use it
Only to do what you asked: to leave ingredients out of recipes, and to tailor recipes to your diet. We don't use it for advertising, we don't sell it, and we don't use it to make decisions about you.
Your consent
Before you can add anything to your "Never suggest" list or your diet, the app asks you to tick a box agreeing that Rosie may keep health information you add and send it to OpenAI to tailor your recipes. The box is unticked until you tick it. You can untick it at any time in My Kitchen, which withdraws your consent and clears both lists. What you type in a chat is sent to OpenAI to answer you, which is the service you're asking for when you send it.
Who we share it with
We don't sell consumer health data, and we don't share it with anyone except these service providers, who process it only on our behalf to run the app:
- OpenAI (United States): receives your "Never suggest" list and diet with each chat message, and your chat messages, to generate a reply.
- Supabase (our database and hosting provider): stores your profile and your recent chats.
We have no affiliates. We don't share health data with RevenueCat, Apple or Google.
Your rights
You can:
- See your "Never suggest" list and diet at any time in My Kitchen, and your recent chats in Settings → Recent chats (Settings is in My Kitchen, under "Account & more").
- Change or remove anything in them at any time.
- Withdraw your consent by unticking the box in My Kitchen.
- Delete all of it by deleting a chat (the trash icon next to it in Settings → Recent chats) or your whole account (Settings → Delete account). Deleting your account deletes your health data from our database, including backups as they expire. We don't control how long OpenAI keeps API data; see OpenAI's own policies.
- Ask us for a copy of your health data, a list of every third party we've shared it with, or for us to delete it, by emailing vibecook.official.toronto@gmail.com. We'll respond within 45 days, and we won't treat you differently for asking. If we turn down your request, you can appeal by replying to our answer; we'll respond to the appeal within 45 days, and if you disagree with the result you can contact your state's Attorney General (in Washington, atg.wa.gov).
